Simplifying your Inbox
Your inbox is not a storage unit
This Month: Heart and Home
This Week: Digital Declutter
Email Overload
Your inbox should be a communication tool, not a never-ending to-do list.
But for most people, it feels like a cluttered closet stuffed with unread messages, newsletters they never signed up for, and emails they keep “just in case”.
An overflowing inbox creates constant mental noise. Even if you are not actively checking it, you know it is there. A pile of unfinished business. A reminder that you are always behind.
But the truth is that 90% of those emails do not need to be there. They are either outdated, unnecessary, or belong somewhere else.
Simplifying your inbox is about making your inbox work for you instead of stressing you out.
A Tiny Step Forward
Set a timer for two minutes. Go through your inbox and…
Unsubscribe from at least one newsletter you never read.
Delete any email older than a month that you know you will never need.
Archive anything you do not need to see but want to keep.
Two minutes. That’s it.
Do this daily, and your inbox will become a tool again instead of a burden.
Bonus tip: Use the search term “unsubscribe” to help pull up all emails you can unsubscribe from right away.
