Decluttering with Intention

This Month: Heart and Home

This Week: Mindful Minimalism

Ultimately, decluttering is about making space for what truly matters.

The space you gain could in your home, your car, your workspace, your budget, your calendar, your mind, or anywhere really.

The only catch is that you need to apply a little intentionality. Understand what you’re making space for and maybe even the reason you acquired that clutter to begin with. (Remember that speed isn’t nearly as important as the direction you’re headed.)

So, it’s important to let go with intention and purpose.

I try to only keep things in my life that support my core values that are health, love, growth, and simplicity. It turns each decision into a meaningful step toward the life I want to live.

Clearly decluttering means a lot more to me than just getting rid of everything. :)

A Tiny Step Forward

Focus on one item today.

Hold it in your hands and study it. Pause for 30 seconds to ask yourself, “How does this support my values?”

If the answer brings clarity and aligns with your goals, core values, and desired identity, I would say it has earned its right to stay.

Note: Paid subscribers will have access to a worksheet designed to help you determine and log your core values. Highly recommend you take advantage of it. Bonus points for sharing the results!

What item did you check out today? Did you do more than one?

Hit reply and let me know how it went!

Yours in Simplicity,

-Jimmy
